Dieting Effects ? Diet Pills
May 29, 2008
When it comes to our weight and the appearance of our bodies, most of us are concerned about one thing or another. We have a hard time fitting into our clothes and we want to do something about it. Hard work and dedication usually work the best, but somehow we are fascinated by the easy way out.
Dieting is not supposed to be easy, but many of us will do what we can to make it easy on ourselves. There are more diet plans than ever before, each one promising more results with less work. You’ll see from diet pill infomercials that these pills work for anyone wanting to lose weight and get slim.
There are some diet pills that work better than others, but there are also some things to be concerned about. Your weight loss goals are the most important factor in considering diet pills. People that are in the obese range should stay away from over-the-counter diet drugs. The first step is getting together with a health care professional to discuss more conventional diets. If pills are prescribed, it is important that they are used under the supervision of a doctor. Lifestyle changes may be necessary to lose the weight and keep it off.
Lose Weight - Stay Fit and Stick With It!

Health and nutrition experts continually advise us that the more we exercise the healthier we will be. In magazines, the doctor’s office or on television we are never far from information showing us how to exercise, what to eat and how to lose weight. One constant rule, in the expert’s opinion, is that regular physical activity is an essential element to successful weight loss and fitness maintenance.
There are a few tried and true strategies that will help you to stay fit and trim. Most of all, as you plan your personal fitness goals, be reasonable and keep them within reach. Setting unrealistic ideals will only lead to failure.
Keep these tips handy and from time to time check the list to confirm that you are staying on track.
1. Get active and stay active. This will be the most important step to achieve. It is so easy to find reasons not to exercise. Just remember a little light to moderate activity each day will bring great results. Once maintained, even a daily walk will become second nature and you may find yourself actually looking forward to your exercise time.
Mood Stabilizers & Mood Enhancers - A Remedy to Naturally Boost Mood & Alleviate Depression
May 28, 2008
Depression and mood disorders are very prevalent mental health issues today. In an increasingly health conscious society, more options are being put forth in the realm of natural medicine, allowing people to stabilize and enhance mood naturally, without addictive and often harmful prescription antidepressants.
Natural mood stabilizers and mood enhancers usually work by encouraging the production of serotonin and other “pleasure” chemicals such as norepinephrine in the human brain, thereby promoting a sense of calm, well-being and revitalization.
Herbal mood enhancers may contain several different herbs and vitamins in concentrated form ranging from St. John’s Wort, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin B12 and various other proprietary blends of botanical extracts and powders. The goal of natural mood stabilizers is to simultaneously alleviate stress and anxiety, while increasing energy and vitality levels (this is where Vitamin B12 usually comes into play - as an energy enhancer). All of this is done through precise blends of complementing ingredients to produce the desired outcome chemically in the human body.
Fat Loss Exercise Strategies
May 28, 2008
How many calories you consume has a big impact on fat loss or gain. If you eat more calories than your body is able to burn will result in weight gain. The best thing about exercise is that the more you do the less you have to worry about calories and you are able to stimulate fat loss.
By burning 500 calories a day you can lose 1 pound of body fat in one week. By combining exercise with a reduction in calories you are able to make it easier to attain a calorie deficit. By riding a stationary bike for a half hour and reducing 200 calories from your daily caloric intake you can create the 500 calorie deficit without having to starve yourself or exercise yourself to exhaustion. 200 calories a day can be as small as a plain baked potato, one slice of pizza, or 1 cup or cooked spaghetti.
Another advantage of exercise is that after you exercise your resting metabolic rate (RMR) is elevated for several hours. Weight training has a longer effect on your RMR than aerobic exercise. Recent studies have shown that the raise in the resting metabolic rate from weight training can last up to 36 hours depending on the intensity of the weight training session.
Make Sure To Rest For Muscle Growth
May 28, 2008
One of the best pieces of exercise advice is to make sure you know that your muscles grow when your resting not training. That’s right, you don’t actually get bigger and stronger when you’re in the gym. It’s what you do after your workout that’s the real key to muscle growth. If you don’t let your muscles recover correctly, you’re body will become over trained and it will be in a state of constent “catch up”. This is far from the ideal state that you want your body in. What you want is to truly prime your body for your next workout and give it enough rest and recuperation to fully optimize your training.
The worst thing you can do is over train your body. This will lead to muscle atrophy (breaking down muscle) and you may experience the flu because of this. When you train, make sure to limit your resistance training sessions to 45 minutes max. Your body’s testosterone levels start decreasing after about 45 minutes, so anytime after this length and you’re really just wasting your time. Focus on hitting it with a high level of intensity for 45 minutes and get out of there. Take care of business and start your recuperation. When you get back from your workout, you might also try sitting in a jacuzzi or sauna to really relax and let your muscles recover. Rest is extremely important when training hard, so make sure to take the time to recover and grow from your training sessions.
The Benefits of Coenzyme Q10
May 28, 2008
Coenzyme Q10 has exploded onto the health scene. This powerful mineral has many health saving properties. It is responsible for essential chemical reactions in your body as well as being a dynamite antioxidant.
What’s more, Coenzyme Q10 or CoQ10 occurs naturally in your body, (and that’s good), but unfortunately, as you age, have nutritional deficiencies or get sick you are producing less of this essential mineral.
And check this out…studies show that an estimated 25% deficiency will cause serious metabolic health problems. At 75%, death will follow and that would mean no more birthday cake for you!
CoQ10 plays a key role in the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) needed for energy production in every cell. It also has a powerful antioxidant that helps guard against damage from free radicals.
And that is just for starters, cardiologist Peter Langsjorn explains “Like the vitamins discovered in the early part of this century, CoQ10 is an essential element of food that can now be used medically.”
It gets even better…
Here are just a few of the health benefits:
Weight Loss - stimulates your bodies metabolism
Healthy Gums - suppresses gingival inflammation
What Really Happens To The Food You Eat
May 27, 2008
After we have eaten a meal — and often we do this in a hurry, without much chewing, under a lot of stress, or in the presence of negative emotions — we give no thought to what becomes of our food once it has been swallowed.
We have been led to assume that anything put in the mouth automatically gets digested flawlessly, is efficiently absorbed into the body where it nourishes our cells, with the waste products being eliminated completely by the large intestine.
This vision of efficiency may exist in the best cases but for most there is many a slip between the table and the toilet. Most bodies are not optimally efficient at performing all the required functions, especially after years of poor living habits, stress, fatigue, and aging.
To the natural hygienist, most disease begins and ends with our FOOD; most of our healing efforts are focused on improving the digestion process. Digestion means chemically changing the foods we eat into substances that can pass into the blood stream and circulate through the body where nutrition is used for bodily functions.
Lose Weight, Get Fit, and Live Longer
May 27, 2008
If all we have to do is exercise to live a fuller and healthier life then why isn’t everybody doing it? Not enough time? Too expensive? Unmotivated? Well the fact is everybody wants to be healthier but it is time consuming and expensive. Or is it? The problem is that an individual’s health is not given a high priority until it’s gone.
Not enough time?
Whether the person realizes it or not, they are just procrastinating. They seem to think that they will have more time in the future. To add to this the longer they wait the lower their health will become. Time must be allocated in your schedule or it will never be done because something will always come up. And lets face it, its no good having a big house and a luxurious car if you are no longer around to enjoy it! If you can’t spare 30 consecutive minutes each day then three, ten-minute sessions can still improve your condition.
Too Expensive?
Exercise costs nothing! Just walking each day is enough to ensure a long and healthy life. This is something just about everyone can do so it also provides a great opportunity to spend time with family and friends.

Lose Fats - Gain Confidence when You Lose Weight
May 27, 2008
“How do I lose 5 kg or 30 kg?”
“How do I gain some muscles and tone up sexily?”
It is simple. Yes, you heard it right, it is simple. All it requires is your commitment and discipline on your part. Do I hear you say “Yes” to that? If so, here goes.
NUTRITION ? Physiologically, you have to burn 7000 calories to lose 1 kg or 2.2 pounds. You can lose those weight through a combination of decreasing caloric intake to a healthy level and expending calories through physical fitness activities.
For example, let’s say you currently take in 2,000 calories a day. If you decrease that by 300 (half plate of chicken rice) and added 200 calories worth of exercises a day (25 minute jog), you would be at a 500 caloric deficit. So, eating 300 less calories a day and expending 200 calories a day through physical fitness activities will result in a net of half kg lost per week. This can be done too by eating food that you enjoy! Just that simple as promised isn’t it?
